KETO STANDARDS FOR CARBOHYDRATES

BANNED INGREDIENTS 

Sugar, partially-hydrogenated trans fats such as soybean, margarine, and vegetable oils. 

Artificial Sweeteners such as saccharin, cyclamate, acesulfame, and aspartame.

Corn syrups and Maltitol.   

Artificial flavors or artificial colors.

 

ALLOWED KETO CERTIFIED INGREDIENTS:

The Keto Project mandates macronutrient requirements and low-sugar profile.   

Exogenous Ketones:

Allowed. Including beta-hydroxybutyrate, keto esters and medium-chain triglycerides.

Meats & Seafood 

Allowed. 

Fruits and Vegetables

Allowed. 

Oils and Fats

Allowed. No hydrogenated oils or oils with trans fat are allowed.

Protein

Allowed.

Milks & Yogurts

Allowed.

Nuts and Seeds

Allowed. 

Fermented Foods

Allowed.

Spices

Allowed. No ethoxyquin allowed.

Mucilages

Allowed.

Roots and Tubers

Allowed.
